Louis Vuitton Galleria GM

I wanted to know if anyone out there bought the new Louis Vuitton Galleria GM or PM?  I purchased it, (a huge splurge that I really cannot afford!) and the brass on the handles started to tarnish and leave ugly black marks on the leather.  I took it to a Louis Vuitton store and they said that was normal wear, but since it was one of their "New" bag designs they didn't know how exactly how the bag was going to wear.  Their solution was for me to take an eraser (yes like from a pencil) and rub it until the black comes off.  This is going to be a daily event since the black comes right back after a day of use.  I don't think a bag should take so much work to have it look good, especially since what I paid for it.  Louis Vuitton is supposed to be quality, and they now don't seem to want to stand behind a bag that's not.  I think they should've tested the bag before mass producing it.  I only had it for a month before it started turning black!  I have Dooney and Burke bags that look amazing that were a fraction of the price, and they guarantee them for a year.
